This method provides long-term preservation for storage and shipping.
For rapid, short-term preservation, hides are agitated in a saturated salt solution (brine). Our finer-grade, fast-dissolving salt is ideal for creating these solutions quickly and ensuring a consistent saline concentration. This method is common for processing large quantities of hides in a short timeframe.
